New opportunities for research in biological sciences have recently appeared in India through an increased commitment of resources by the Indian Government and private investors. The Wellcome Trust - Department of Biotechnology India Alliance in conjunction with EMBO Global Exchange, will highlight these opportunities in this satellite meeting to The EMBO Meeting 2010.

The meeting will feature scientific talks from eminent Indian scientists working in India and Europe, covering a wide range of scientific topics.

The keynote lecture will be given by 2009 Nobel Prize winner Venki Ramakrishnan.

During the panel discussion and breaks, participants can discuss with science leaders and funders from both India and Europe. A poster session will provide participants with the opportunity to present their research.

All life scientists who are interested in research opportunities in India, are invited to attend this satellite meeting free of charge.
