The Intelligent Brain: Does Sex Matter?

Neuroimaging studies are detailing the brain parameters related to intelligence and other aspects of cognition. Males and females may use different pathways for some higher cognitive functions. Such differences would be important for research on the progression of brain diseases, cognitive rehabilitation after brain injury, understanding vocational choice, and efforts to optimize educational strategies for students.
