Core to EMBO is the recognition of excellence. The EMBO Meeting highlights the latest scientific contributions advancing the life sciences. During the conference, an EMBO award presentation will recognize an example of excellence from the life science community.

EMBO Gold Medal 2010   Monday 6 September, 18:00 - 19:30 in the Auditorium   Awarded annually, the EMBO Gold Medal recognizes outstanding contributions of young researchers in the molecular life sciences.

Winner of the EMBO Gold Medal 2009: Olivier Voinnet, CNRS Institute of Plant Molecular Biology, Strasbourg, FR was presented with the medal at The EMBO Meeting 2009 in Amsterdam.
